MultiCAM s.r.l., Delcam’s Sales Partner covering Argentina and Chile, celebrated its 10th anniversary at the recent FIMAQH 2006 exhibition held in Buenos Aires. The company was formed with the cooperation of Delcam during 1996, to offer advanced engineering solutions to the local market.
Since then, MultiCAM has established Delcam’s software within the complex-shape design and toolmaking markets. The company has also expanded its business by adding complementary products for design, manufacture and inspection. Most recently, MultiCAM has also added the FeatureCAM software range for automated programming of production machining operations.
Some of the highlights on the impressive MultiCAM presence at FIMAQH included the new versions of the PowerSHAPE CAD software and the PowerMILL CAM system. These new versions were very well received by both customers and prospects. Jorge Perez from MultiCAM reported, "The new user interface and more use of wizards provide significant design automation in PowerSHAPE, while PowerMILL continues to impress with important new functionality from 2 to 5-axis machining.”
The new FeatureCAM product line for automated programming of production parts was officially launched in Argentina at FIMAQH. "The addition of FeatureCAM’s turning, mill-turn and wire EDM functionality will open the doors to significant markets that have been unexplored so far,” predicted Mr. Perez.
"MultiCAM has progressed well despite the economic uncertainties experienced by Argentina during the past ten years,” said Pedro Leon, Delcam’s Business Development Manager for Latin America. "While many other CADCAM resellers have come and gone during that time, MultiCAM has provided consistently high quality support and service to its customers and so is well-placed to grow even stronger over the next ten years.”
