Full Machine Simulation

Machine simulation is an optional modules that allows users to view machine movements and detect any possible collisions, providing the assurance of a clean operation without having to stop production for dry runs.  If a collision is detected, the simulation is paused and a dialog box appears with information on the specific machine components involved.  Machine Simulation includes the following functions:

  • Machines can be defined using either FeatureCAM's Solid Modeling option or solid model data imported from other CAD programs.
  • Machine design is saved and can be used with any part program.
  • Supports machines anywhere from basic 2-axis mills to complex 5-axis tilting head machines.
  • Numerous machine components can be included, such as turrets, heads, spindles, tool shanks, tool changers, rotary tables, axis slides, clamps, and fixtures.
  • Includes options, such as having the tool changer shown during tool changes.
